The word “bully” is a common word that describes a person who hurts another person through the use of mean or rude words or physical actions. The term “bystander” refers to a person who stands by watching a bully in action and does nothing to prevent, stop, or report the behavior to adults. You are not a bystander if you choose to speak up when bullying occurs.
